We have a requirement for an experienced Firmware Engineer to join us in Randburg, Gauteng for a six month contract.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Electronic Engineering or a National diploma with substantial experience. A formal training in electronics is required with experience and good knowledge of 16F, 18F PICs and 8051 firmware development. Experience with analogue electronics will also be an advantage.

The main functions will be to rewrite/update the firmware in several process instrumentation products as well as writing firmware for new products. Some familiarity with a high level language will also be required to be able to write fairly simple PC based configuration software.
